Great walk to Duke’s nose! We walked both ways since the water taxi is now 40$ pp. Took us under two hours to get on top of Duke’s nose (we’re fit but not crazy hehe). Climb at the end is along two iron bars but not too difficult. Stunning views, would be epic for a sunset/sunrise!
Fabulous two hour hike into Lane Cove and another 45mins up to the top of Kairara Rock / Duke’s Nose. We had lunch on the deck of Lane Cove Hut before climbing Duke’s Nose, which has quite a challenging ascent up a rocky face at the end. There is a steel rail bolted to the rocks. Wonderful views from the top. We then took a water taxi back to Totara North where we had parked our 6m camper at the start of the track.
Really nice walk. Awesome view from the top !!! Must do It
Did this hike today. The beginning is a bit monotonous, but then it is very varied with forest, meadow and rock. Twice the flow must be waited. At the end, river and view continue. Did not meet anyone on the way. Are back with the water taxi, which we had ordered before. $ 25 per person. The ride is a nice finish. But then you have to walk a bit longer on the street. Overall, a nice hike with moderate difficulty, for us with baby still feasible.
