The walk it's self has nothing special but the bay is very nice ! We had a swim ;) have a look for the tide to be able to go to the station at the end of the bay ! We had a nice afternoon !!

A well maintained track climbs up to a great lookout and then down to the picturesque and sheltered Whangamumu Harbour. From here a short walk left along the beach, (two hours before or after high tide), and over a small headland takes you to the relics of an old whaling station. About two hours return. Parking Bay on roadside for a few vehicles where we parked our camper at this time of year OK. In summer you can pay a small fee for secure parking on private property adjacent to the track start.
