Clockwise walk after 30 mins we came to the storm damaged bridge. Someone has made a make shift rock & plank walkway (some rocks are 5cms under water but passable in tramping boots - snowshoes WILL get wet). We completed track in 2 hours with a couple of stops for photos. A very good trip for most with formed track the whole way, but kids will struggle on some of the long steeper parts, that don't seem to finish.

2.30 for the loop, beautiful view, bush, forest, mountain etc Honestly good walk not too hard neither too easy for us, perfect :-)

Great walk but the door on the toilets @ the carpark doesnt lock it was like that a year ago when i visited.... Maybe it will be fixed next year?

Great easy way. Once at the top, you have a great view of the lake and the mountains. It takes about 2 hours and not as written 3-4. If you are looking for a quiet, easy hiking trail without a lot of people, this is the place for you.

Alright walk but its mostly in the bushes and woods. Wish I spent my time doing a nicer walk with greater views..

Nice walk in the bush with a bit of history too. Very interesting the Sam Summers Hut and all the history around. Also nice views. A bit of a climb necessary but not too bad. If you are staying in the campsite at the bottom it is definitely worth a visit.

Good walk. Not very well signed (the times don't make sense). It took us 2 hours to do the loop anticlockwise.
