Practical if you want to stay near the city.
Only for vehicles under 2.1m - no way for larger vehicles to enter. There is a good free carpark just next to this one (up to 3 hours during the day) for when you’re exploring Queenstown but you can’t camp there.
The QR Code system doesn’t work at all. Although there were free seats on the homepage, everything was occupied.
Good if you have things to do in Queenstown. Arrive early, pay to park until 6:00 pm and to reserve the spot, visit Queenstown, and then spend the night here. No facilities and lights from the city during night.
You try to be a good camper and follow the rules by not staying before 6 pm and then you arrive here and every spot is filled do not recommend coming here
This carpark is amazing in the center ! We arrived at around 11pm, paid 2$ per hour dor the rest of the day (cheapest carpark in town) and got the night for free as well. No facilities but shadow and some place to put the table. It’s about 10 cars and not only 3 as indicated.
As others have described, it’s nearly impossible to park at any of the designated spots. For those in a bind, “12 mile delta” campground is beautiful and always has plenty of spots. It’s a 15-20 min drive and is $15 NZD per person. Happy camping!
I mean, why is it so hard to understand where campervans can actually park? And then only few are available, all where taken at 18:30 when I arrived
Just for small vehicles - Max hight 2,1m
A free campsite with a height restriction barrier preventing vehicles over 2.10m from entering is nonsensical... Accessible only to campervans. Furthermore, the Google Maps directions are incorrect.
