Good day hike, nice various of trail (including climbing). Excellent view!

Did the track 7/12, but still there was snow and later even rain. Views were absolutely beautiful. Definetely recomended to do it in dry weather or atleast vith good pair of hiking shoes and some patience :)

Awesome hike, made it right to the top and back in 4 hours. Jumped in the lake for a nice cool down. We went on a really nice sunny day. It was very exhausting but had no problems at all. However I can see how any rain would make this a very difficult hike

Did this hike on the 22/10/2020 and unfortunately couldn’t get to the top as markers were buried under snow however it was still worth the just over an hour we did get to do. It recommends tramping boots and I would back that. I have unfortunately lost one of my tramping boots while being in the South Island and had to do this walk in ordinary sneakers. Not overly hard however you do have to watch your step more. Really awesome scenery, make sure to check the weather before going up also! Would recommend this walk!

Beautiful hike in the frost! We only made it to the top of the first waterfalls in a thin layer of snow, about 2/3rds of the way. It was still worth it. At the end to get to the lakes and the saddle it's much to icy to do without ropes and ice axes etc. We were happy that avalanche risk was very low, but check when you plan to go.

A very nice hike that offers a fantastic view of the fjords. The first two kms are on flat ground, then start the climb, quite steep. It is not a trail but the markup is done using orange stakes which are clearly visible. You walk in the pebble for a little while, then on large slabs of rock which can be very slippery when it has rained or if it has frozen (not recommended to do so under these conditions). There is a handrail on the climb, but nothing dramatic if you are used to frolicking. We did it on May 26 and we encountered no problem, the ride is really worth the detour. On the other hand, the whole climb is in the shade for a very very very large part of the day, dress well! :)

The most beautiful hike I could do in Milford Sound. (in 2nd position I name Lake Marian). Here the start is easy, even if you have to constantly look at your feet. Then it climbs hard, the landscape is more and more beautiful, the snowpack appears, as well as the lake. We spend a small part with our feet in the snow (it's really fun) then climb to the top. The top show is just amazing, you can even see the milford sound. The keas show themselves. In short, it is sure it must be clear and especially no rain otherwise it is dangerous. Go for it! About us 4:30 round trip by going quietly + 1 hour at the top for picnic.

As mentioned before, the first 3.5km is easy to do and gets you into the middle of the beautiful valley with stunning views on all sides.

The first 3.5km are a very easy walk and they get you to the base of the mountains. The views are great and you are in the valley surrounded by mountains. It took us 30min to the hazardous sign. We judged that at this moment there is no danger of avalanches at valley floor (but judge for yourself) and we continued on to the waterfall (15min). We were also there by ourselves which was nice after milford sounds crowds. Would recommend the walk if you have time and want an easy but beautiful walk.
