Wow what a magnificent cave, have seen a lot of caves in my life and this one is definitely the most special and coolest one. The history of it and the fact that you can hold a 25,000 year old moa bone is just amazing. I would say a hidden gem.

Really enjoyable small adventure. The guide was very informative and the caves easy to walk through. Tours are on the hour starting at 10 am. A stop worth making on your way to/from Takaka.

We considered only long, but it was worth it because it was a nice little things in a small group, it was very familiar. Leadership is always hourly, the last one is at 16 o'clock

Great and informative Cave tour. A bit up and down walk, but even my wife with a soar post-surgery could do the walk, and the ladder climb at the end of the walk. Highly recommended

This is a must stop!! Awesome experience and affordable price. We took our four kids (7, 9, 11 and 13) and we all loved it! Would highly recommend stopping here on your way over Takaka Hill!
