FREE unlike the camper mate site info. This is a tiny roundabout under the bridge. Great river access a picnic table and long drop. All compliant with freedom camping act. Clean, out of the way, more of a day spot by choice.
Nice spot to park up... Had a prime spot.. Backed right up and parked on the waters edge(mid summer so fairly safe to do so) ... Afew trout to have a go at but traces of toxic algae on the rocks at the time so be mindful with your pets
Nice spot for the night, a bit of small powerboat activity. Quiet at night, only one here, light rain in morning but no problem getting out, I would come again. Jim
.Rough &boggy to River bank parking, rubbish in & around picnic table. If you are FULLY SELF CONTAINED you no longer need to pay a fee to the Carterton Council.
Yeah wet and boggy good description rubbish every where and I agree wouldn't be wise to O/N on the river bank might be better on a hot summets day dont rate this place at all
Not suitable during winter season wet boggy site
Be careful parking on the river bank, if it rains in the hills the river can rise rapidly. Advice from a local :-)
Lovely shady spot off the road. And didn't see any notifications regarding charges and notifications.
Nice spot . Very popular swimming area . Reasonably shady .
