Gorgeous view, friendly staff and well priced! Facilities are basic but everything you need, and pub across the road has great staff and good free wifi. Felt super safe staying here as a solo female traveller!
Great camping with nice beach view (20$/person). Showers (1$) and kitchen are basic, staff super friendly.
Good base camp for exploring Coromandel Peninsula/day tour to Cathedral Cove. At the check in was a very friendly young lady, I could choose from plenty of spots directly at the waterfront. 15NZD p.p. unpowered is a very fair price for a clean kitchen (no cooking equipment, byo) and clean bathroom. Cold showers are free, hot showers 1NZD (coin) for 5 min. Bring drinks/food cause there’s not really something there. Small shop in reception building.
Incredible site. All the amenities you need for an incredible price of $15 unpowered pp and it backs onto the sea so waking up and watching the sunset on the ocean was pretty incredible. Laundry, small kitchen but always empty as majority of occupants are full-timers. Clean showers and toilets. If you’re going up the coromandel coastline, you will not find a better site for the price.
Came also last minute and get a great spot at the water. Very helpful staff. All perfect.
We turned up last minute and they where very accommodating. Paid $15pp for unpowered site right on th water front was great views. Facility’s where not far of a walk. Toilets/showered were clean. $1 for hot shower Kitchen was pretty small but well equipped
Paid just 15$ pp for an unpowered site with front row ocean view. Would stay again.
Beautiful spot by the water. The restrooms are functional but cost extra ($1 for 5 minutes of hot water / $4 for laundry). Price per person: $15 per night.
Great experience for an unpowered oceanfront site ($30 per night for 2 people). Hot showers cost $1 for 5 minutes, everything is clean, including the toilets. The kitchen is accessible and has a stove, microwave, and kettle—everything you need. The fire station is nearby, so be aware of the sirens at night, but other than that, the campground is very peaceful and the people are very friendly.
We stayed at the unpowered site, which is closer to the shore and on the grass. The views were lovely, and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening. We went without a reservation.
