Very close to Pancakes Rocks, ideal for staying at night. We arrived late and there was no staff in the reception but we were treated with timbre/camera and helped us to install and pay online without problems.
Beautiful campsite on the beach, short walk up to the Pancake Rocks. Good facilities. Loved the sauna too (book separately)!!
Location is great. WiFi only works in the communal area (which is a big negative in my opinion). Showers are push button and turn off after 20-30 seconds which was annoying. Otherwise, sunset on the beach was great.
The worst experience I’ve ever had at a campsite in New Zealand. It’s located right beside a bar that played music all night long so loudly that I could feel the bass in my campervan. If you’re looking for a quiet evening, this is not the place.
The location is great: right next to the beach (incredible sunset!) with a short walk (along the rocky seawall and the main road) to the Pancake Rocks & Blowhole. We'd hoped to get a beach-side site, but were assigned to the big grassy area closer to the office. Pre-paid for a powered site, but the front desk woman was a bit confused. Showers were cold. No wifi at the site. We opted to leave early due to incoming rains that would def make our site muddy.
Beautiful place with access in 1 min to the beach, with toilets and shower and very friendly owners.
Fantastic site! Glad we ignored the negative reviews. Yes, the showers are push button activated & turn off every 20secs. Just keep pushing the button! The water pressure is great and the showers are nice & hot! Yes, the wifi only works in the kitchen - they tell you this at check-in. Some of the negative reviews should’ve booked into a hotel instead. The location is amazing! The grounds are clean and campervans aren’t packed in. The facilities are great & the staff are friendly. Loved it here!
The campsite is in a great location and has all the necessary facilities for campers. Wi-Fi only works in and around the kitchen. They are very strict with check-out, and you are not allowed in the kitchen or on the grounds after check-out time. As a family, we do school at a picnic table, but that is not possible after 10 o'clock. We have never experienced this before.
Stayed in a camp for a night. Staff is friendly, location is nice just near the beach. If you wanna reach bathroom during dark hours you will need a light cause it’s really dark, no lights around the area . Laundry was not working, wifi as well. Kitchen and bathroom was ok.
Great campsite -quiet and convenient to walk to Pancake rocks- 15mins along the beach. Also close to Paparoa National Park walks. Site has clean hot showers and toilets. Wifi available in communal areas but we had cell phone coverage at our pitch. Food truck available for dinner or coffee We loved our stay here.
