Nice little walk. Saw Kereru and Riro. No penguins. Sandflies at the beach are vicious, but we stuck it out because we found pounamu (greenstone).

Gorgeous bush walk in the arvo and very cool beach. To early for penguins but a nice easy walk and enjoyed the beach on a super calm day.

Easy and short walk and the beach is amazing! Feels like a private beach. We didnt see any penguins, but probably cuz we were too early (at noon).

Nice beach with beautiful rocks, perfect for sunset!

Unfortunately haven't seen any penguins but it's a very nice beach with huge waves!

Nov 30, 2019 - 5:00 pm - Saw 2 pairs of penguins coming off the rocks from the far right side of the beach (looking out). They come fast (and seemingly at random) so pay attention! Downside: sand flies will get ya. - The walk itself was enjoyable through the woods. We made better time than the 1.5 hr return suggests but it was a nice paved path through the rainforest!

Nice walk and saw 4 pinguïns. 2 emerging from the sea and climbing on the rocks to 2 others. We were there at 3pm. When at the beach they where at the far right end at the big rock. Take binoculairs and look at the rock wall.

Went mid morning and didn't see any penguins. The walk itself and the niche beach is already worth it though.

I saw two penguins shortly after 8pm tonight! The tide comes very fast and the Punguine have searched the most beautiful place (right at the beach end) to have their rest! Could not take pictures because they were too far away.
