Small turning point and carpark close to the beach with no houses around. It's on the end of the road. We spend the night, one car came around 8pm and left, and another one came around 5am and played really loud music, but didn't bothered us. The sign says for authorised selfcontaind.
We started walking there from Rapahoe above. Before the bridge there is a small parking area on the left side if you come from Greymouth. 1.5 hours one way through the jungle. At the beginning there is a brief elevation, but besides it's easy to do. In the end there is a wonderful lookout! We were lucky to see two Hector Dolphins. Very recommendable.
Don't camp here if you're not self contained! Got hit with a fine
