A really beautiful camping spot right next to the ocean. It has everything you need and is very clean. The showers even have a heat lamp - perfect for winter (it’s the little things that make you happy) - I’d recommend everyone to stay here.
This camp is one of the best. Unbeatable location. Spend at least two nights to fully appreciate what’s on offer. Aside from the camp being a fantastic place to relax by the crashing waves, there’s a great bush walk out to a lookout that’s well worth doing. About three hours return. The campground itself has everything you need including WiFi an good phone signal . I’m definitely coming back. A real gem 👍🏻
Incredible campsite. It has everything you need. Small but perfect. You felt very comfortable here. We were here on a rainy day and spent two nights. It was quiet and the communal areas are very nicely designed. Showers and bathrooms were all good. The kitchen was well-equipped. I highly recommend making a stop here on the West Coast trip.
Superb! Friendly welcome to that charming old school a Stone throw from the ocean with direct view on it from the upper spaces. All the amenities are perfectly maintained and super clean. The commun room (former classroom) is comfy and cosy complete with a well furbished bookshelf and board games.. We appreciated the heated shower cabins, the Possility to bake and Cook in the kitchen and the wifi. We highly recommand (Best camp so far in NZ for us).
Nice tidy place to stay. Booked online as no park manager at site. Pretty easy. $45 for 2 people & power. Amenities are clean and well maintained.
A very nice campsite, right by the sea with stunning sunsets. The building is older, but the toilets and showers (two in total) are very clean, with hot water. There's a large dining room for communal meals and a play area for children. The kitchen is well-equipped. Online booking via their website is recommended.
Awesome place to come when u are roadtripping and have a fresh start
Great spot! Simple but really nice. Beach is right there. Clean and tidy facilities and a few pots and pans, plates and cutlery available to use.
We did not like this campsite. The rain probably did not help to the experience, but all facilities are in a very poor state. The idea of the old school is a nice one, but still the buildings and facilities should be maintained.
Great spot. Amazing sunset and views from Site 25. History of the school house would be fascinating to know. Hot showers and great walk on beach. One of the best encountered in South Island. Great wi fi. Park up and enjoy the setting
