1. Be Self-Sufficient: Your Essential Checklist

Water: Carry ample drinking water. Minimum 10L per person per day is a safe bet in the heat.
Waste Management: You must be prepared to Pack it in, Pack it out. Bring high-quality rubbish bags and take ALL your waste (including food scraps) with you until you reach a proper dump point in a town.
