This camp is absolutely huge, there's so much space and several toilet blocks. Despite that people still manage to park on-top of others, we also had a group of dh driving around camp all night with music blaring and engines revving. Anyway the spot is beautiful, the lake right there and we found some protection from the wind for our swag. Now the facilities, there's nowhere enough of them, despite there being several, very far apart. And the condition the toilets and showers we used right at the entrance are in is absolutely appalling. Not a single cubicle hasn't got something broken, be that the flush or the showerheads. There's water everywhere, looks like the dunnies are leaking and the washers in the showers urgently need replacing, impossible to turn off properly. The only bonus is that the water was nice and hot, after a night with 0 degrees we appreciated this.

Stayed here early September Was our first free camp on our Aussie road trip :) Stunning free camp, can go right on the lakefront. Can definitely see how this spot would get popular and busy in the warmer months. Stargazing 10/10 Toilets and showers were very clean but water was not warm

Lots of space to find a nice spot by the lake, we got there on a Sunday and got a prime spot. Birds can be a bit noisy but you barely hear the road that’s behind you! Didn’t use the facilities but the didn’t look in the best of shape from the outside 👍🏼

Very large grassy area so pretty much guaranteed a spot. Toilets are okay, clean enough. Hot showers in both male and female toilets. Next to the road but only a few cars passing through the night. Good phone signal. Dump site as well

10/10 would recommend - epic free camping spot with dump site, toilets, and showers (we didn’t use those though). Plenty of room too, so you’re almost guaranteed a spot. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Wish there were more of these!

A huge area to camp a few homeless but not a problem trout in the dam rainbow & tiger so I don't think that the 24 hr or 48 hr apply as the council don't own the land
