Good if you like camping in a car park.
The area now has a gate and big concrete blocks stopping vehicle entry unless you book ahead their was a pit toilet, there was a run down playground no water or bins Book ahead to gain vehicle access email is on the bottom of picture loaded of the sign
I suspect it hasn’t been maintained for a few months- sign and barriers (logs) still up saying ‘oval closed for winter’. What i assume to be the 4wd tracks are not accessible due to fallen logs (would be pretty cool to explore by horse however). The toilet is unusable due to some kind of swarming insect nest. But a free camp is a free camp and if you’re self-contained (or happy to go bush) it’s very peaceful; there’s still a flat dirt area for camping, a (slightly creepy) shelter building, resident kangaroo family, and you’ll likely have the place to yourself ??
Just off the road, flat surface. Long drop in good condition. Oval closed for vehicles in winter. Fires allowed, bring own wood. Lovely and quiet.
Very nice place, in the middle of the mountain! Full of little kangaroos in the field.
