A bit of shade here, there are toilets, basin but no water to wash your hands. Very busy with people coming and going all day and through the night. If you want sleep good luck as there is always someone coming in late banging their car doors and headlights on your vehicle while you sleep. Flies are bad so bring lot's of bug spray. You get to see some kangaroos as long as the visitors don't chase them away thinking they can get close to a wild kangaroo. Poor phone signal.
Perfect for one night. We arrived around 9pm, there were only 2 vehicles. Dry toilet and tap with a small trickle of water. We woke up in the morning to see the kangaroos and we did well! However do not get too close because they left to the right of the plain and we no longer saw them. We saw a few Australians stop for a coffee break and admire the scenery. Very pleasant !
The lagoon it not there anymore, a few flat places, a little bit noise, decents toilets
Great rest area. It’s quite and you can see some kangaroos during the night and the sunrise. Good place for 1 night!
Good spot set up rooftop tent and had a good sleep definitely need but spray
Good spot for one night to Sydeny. Spotted some kangaroos in the morning. A lot of noisy birds and road very close to parking but it was alright. Drop toilets were clean and a lot of toilet paper available. There are rubbish bins and a sink but this one is not big enough for doing dishes. The water is super cold and only a little stream so we had to take our dirty dishes somewhere else. Good stay!
Good free stop over between Melbourne/Sydney. Away from highway noise. Basic drop toilet and (non drinkable) water. Saw kangaroos from a far, bouncing through the estuary at sunrise.
Good camp and toilets. Cars come and go all hours but still not much sound from the roads.
We had an overnight stay in our van at this rest area. Is close to freeway and the amenities are use on the odd occasion by passing travelers. Rowes lagoon makes a good back drop.
