Nice quiet spot close to Canberra. There is not a Dump spot as some apps say.
The place is really nice and quiet. Beautiful view of the lake. Restrooms are ok but no drinking water.
Toilets were perfectly clean with toilet roll in each cubicle and were close to the parking spots so not having to trek in the dark! Picnic tables under shelter and plenty of bins (again very clean). The bbq wasn’t working but we had a gas stove so it was fine! A little windy at times being high up by the lake but overall a very good stay for the night. Even though it’s close to the highway it’s far enough away that you don’t hear any noise from passing trucks at all!
Nice Spot to get a night of rest! Toilets are 50m from the parking spaces and also in a very good condition.
There are toilets and lakes here, but the water in the toilets is not potable. I was so excited to see shooting stars at night.
Beautiful spot with view over the river from all car parks. Nice and clean toilets with flush. We were there with only one other car - very nice. 25 mins from the city centre by car. Rabbits all over at night!
Nice rest area next to beautiful lake. Toilets are scary af at night but otherwise fine, plenty of loo roll and soap. BBQs and bins ?. A few mozzies but not bad for lakeside
Nice free camp near the lake. Close to the road but not too noisy. Toilets, water and bins : practical to spend a night near Canberra. Be aware that the ground isn't really straight. Beautiful morning view with the sunrise over the lake!
Good little stop over for one night. Toilets aren’t great but we’ll stocked with toilet paper and hand wash. The view is lovely and there were lots of rabbits and some kangaroos and black swans on the lake. Would recommend for one night, some background traffic noise but not awful
Quiet camp, little noise despite the nearby road. The large lake Georges offers a nice view. However, you have to watch out for snakes and there are quite a few flies. But no restrictions for spending the night or pitching a tent.
