We drove the following roads in our little Britz camper van in dry weather: Monkerei Road, Main Creek Road, Skimmings Gap Road, Frying Pan Road and got there easily. That was also the route suggested by Google Maps! The campsite has 2 toilet facilities, that's all there is here. But it's a great clearing with a beautiful stream. It was very busy here on Sunday! Phone reception was very poor!
Great spot to camp, unfortunately couldn't go hiking due being attacked by leeches. Access through main road was better then assess off of Chichester dam rd. The toilets were reasonably clean for pit toilets and there is good access to the river.
Was a great place! make sure to enter via Chichester Damn as other side of Frying Pan Road has been permanently washed out and made into a good hike/bike track. Due to a bridge failure, Frying Pan Road has been closed from the: intersection of Frying Pan Rd and Skimmings Gap Rd and intersection of Frying Pan Rd and Coachwood camping area access road. check road closures on Forestrycorporation.com.au first...
Great spot for the family. Plenty of places to have a splash in the creek and not a bad spot to bring the dogs along.
We didn't get to enjoy this camping, do not trust your Google maps, just follow the signs along the road. We got our trailer stuck in a 4wd road that didn't have a proper signage and when we tried to go back it was too late. Again, do not trust google maps to get here, just follow the official signage
Very popular during weekends and packed with campers. Road is doable for 2-w SUV even small car if it is dry weather.
Great spot. No problem having a fire unless there is a ban. Good free camp.
Great spot with clean toilets. You are not allowed open fires and gets crowded in the summer season. Well worth the visit though.
4WD only
