Very special place, arrive for the sunset behind the quaint church. Pit loo extremely clean, very quiet lovely place for a free stay. No shops, just a few dwellings. Almost no traffic noise at all. Lots of cute birds!

What can I say, this free camp is the best, the toilets are the cleanest drop toilets I have ever seen. No power or water, so do need to be self contained for water and power. We camped our van here after we left Walgett, on the way to the three pubs in the scrub as dirt and rough roads to the pubs for three Kms after the tar road, we decided to camp here instead of Lightning Ridge, will travel there next. The lady living next door to the camp ground was very friendly, she assured us that the van would be very safe, she also looks after the toilets etc. Just to mention there are no shops here and approx 200 residents, fifteen min drive to Pubs in the Scrub. Highly recommended, this spot is a must, donation box near toilet

Very friendly town, great area for free camping, yes, country town chooks, roo’s, birds, ( no traffic) love it!
