Nice place to recharge. Clean toilets and there is a bbq. Not very noisy.

We had to stop quite soon because of the car, we found a nice spot (not amazing but it was ok). The real problem were the sand flies, the car was full and we spent the night killing them. It was an interesting experience though.

Amazing view and comfortable grass The road to the site is pretty rough, there’s a lot deep puddles (i ride a motorcycle so got there all wet)

The parking space is definitely not accessible with a 2WD. Many very deep puddles requiring high ground clearance. One access road is closed due to private property.

We couldn’t arrive to the campsite with our 2WD minivan, I would definitely recommend a 4WD though if you have a tall car you may be able to get through. Mosquitos or flies are insane, bring repellent though they will still eat you alive

Beautiful place. The dirt track road is very bumpy, rocky, and wet in places. Managed to just about make it in a camper van, but wouldn’t have if it had been any more wet recently.

Great spot, we slept in a roof top tent at the beach with our window looking at the sea! There are cows and turkeys walking around. There will run away from you if you get close (or you have to be slow slow). The road is a dirt road which turns into a very bad dirt road after the fence which you can open (and close!!). There are lots of holes, we did saw a lot of people with caravans and boats behind there car. So with a decent (powerful ish) car you should be more then fine. Just take it slow (we calculated that the average speed is 12 km/h according to Google Maps. We did not see any toilets but didn’t really look for them either.

Awesome place! Beautiful scenery and sleeping to the sounds of the waves is such a treat. Everyone friendly and respectful and it’s spacious enough to not be camping in top of everyone - a bit hard if you don’t have your own toilet.

As already mentioned, very nice camp. You should come here if you go to Mackay and take a rest. Thanks a lot for such a nice spot. I couldn‘t see any crocodiles. In some parts is a lot of rubbish. If you take an extra bag with you and collect a bit, it would make a difference. 2 wheel drive is all right in my opinion.
