Nice overnight stop next to the Road, Our 8m Camper fited . Some permanent residence people but Not to Bad.
The site is occupied by permanent residents...we decide to spend the night further down the road to the right that leads to the stadium (on the right). The night is very quiet; there is less traffic on the road and the residents are not noisy.
I mean it’s for free and near to the City what would you expect? Its Not great but i‘ve seen worse. The toilettes are ok. I didn‘t met anyone who would have harmed me, but there are creepy people. A guy just told me stay away from the tents, they are meth-heads. Lock your door overnight. I‘m a young girl and solo traveller, it was probably not the best Spot for me but it was alright. I‘ve met some lovely people there.
To many homeless in tents. Not suitable for caravans let alone a car. Moved on to Gympie free camping. Was much nicer and heaps of shop 5 mins up the road
The is stop is for the homeless and we decided not to take up a spot that could be potentially be someone’s home. The toilets were filthy and it breaks our hearts that the government are not helping these people.
Felt really unsafe here. The homless people were kinda creepy as well and unfriendly to us. Only stop here if you don‘t have any other options!!!
In general it was a perfect campsite, close to the highway with a lot of tables and toilets. The only bad thing is, one of the homeless people was really aggressive and threatening us, so we had to leave earlier.
Full, but you can always find a spot and squeeze in at any time. Very quiet. I would use toilets just for an emergency. Overall ok.
Ok for a one night stay. I stayed here after a few days rain and it was a bit wet but a lot of space to park and toilets available. Weak phone signal
Crowded but not too noisy and with clean and free bathrooms
