Absolutely amazing! A really quiet place. The lake is beautiful and the place is quite remote. A lot of wild life around us. Fine and basic facilities.
Absolutely loved my stay here. Once you’re there you don’t want to leave for day trips as the unsealed road out there is terrible and full of gigantic potholes (goes on for 15-20 km). But a very nice place to relax and swim for a day or two
Fabulous spot. Campsites upto the waters edge. Firepits, but take your own firewood. Clean toilets, but otherwise you must be self sufficient. Lots of Birds and Bandicoots. Looking forward to going again.
There is a room for shower, but need to take your own camping shower
Great area for camping, large open grass spaces by the lake for parking up usually by a fire pit. The gov website said the camp was fully booked except one space, however when we got there we were the only ones there except one other group. It did have toilets but we didn’t use them so can’t comment. Over all extremely peaceful. But, make sure everything is tied down for the long dive along the unsealed road which winds through the forest covered in pot holes and branches. We did it in a 2WD, but now really wish we had a 4WD.
Open camping area offers something for everyone - come by road or by boat. Patches of trees and several locations for amenities allows for some sense of privacy. Saw lots of water birds by day and a long-nosed bandicoot at night. Great place, we'd love to camp here again.
