Bush experience with a bit of road noise background if you mo e further in
Still has picnic table and chairs, bins and good tree cover
Decent spot, kinda noisy but alright
Perfect bush area stop just a few km's outside of Port Augusta, especially if you're driving at night and dont want to go any further. Picnic table available, under a shelter. No toilets. Just rest area. Camped overnight and was pretty fine, although you can hear trucks and rain noise.
We kept pushing south to here and quite liked it back from the rd closer to the rail... Didn’t hear late trains? seemed best of the bunch for shelter, not as windy or red dirt blowing like Monalena or Maslin etc we were only ones there surprisingly good actually and not far from caravan friendly Arid Desert botanical gardens towards Port A this morning?
Went out the back behind rest stop- great for an overnight stop, had a few trains go through and highway traffic wasn’t too bad.
I slept in my car. Was the closest rest area out of Pt Augusta. It has 3 garbage bins a shelted picnic table. There was a car and caravan here. Ok to get some sleep.
Campsite looks good. Haven’t stayed there but there are some areas of bush with red dirt tracks to be a bit further away from the road.
It's good for one night cause it's a bit noisy (in front of the highway but still a good place
This rest area isn't too bad to camp on if you don't mind noises while you're sleeping. We were the only ones here that night and had an easy, relaxed rest.
