Drive the short distance to Tintinara lake side camping instead. This is just a couple of parking lots and a bench area. Close to the road. Not tent friendly in my opinion.

Small rest area, we camped with our roof tent and no problem. The noise was quite disturbing because it was close to the highway and the railway tracks (3 trains passed during the night). There are picnic tables and trash cans available.
