Nice and wide rest area at only 5mins drive from Mount Bruce. Spacious and enough room for multiple camping vehicles, secluded as well, with flat surface. No toilets, no bins, Telstra and Optus working well. Can hear the mine train at night however it didn't bother us. Quite a few flies around starting from the morning. We liked it! Very large camping area, with Bush areas for more tranquility. We stayed there for 2 nights. No toilet, no garbage, so plan in advance.

Wow this is probably the worst free camp due to the noise!!! The mine train comes by every hour throughout the night blasting its horn, lights blazing. Ear plugs don’t cut it. Strongly recommend camping elsewhere Trucks use this stop so if you do stay here, make sure you stay out of their entry/turning paths

Slept there 2 nights ago, was perfect. Lots of space, only 2 vans atm. Few trucks also stop for the night on the road side but we were able to park further away to not be disturb. Very convenient to go to mount Bruce in the morning. Telstra reception ok. Recommand.
