Best free campside we‘ve been to in WA. Due to roadworks the access is over gravel road, but nothing too bad. The site itself is on sand, so be careful where you park when you’re on 2WD! Free and decently maintained toilets, outdoor-shower, BBQ-Area and a playground. Beach is stunning but more on the wild side. Lots of space, but its also quite populare, so dont come too late.
We ended up in the middle of the sandy lot and it was fine. Relatively level for self contained campervan. Access to the beach best part other than the great bbq’s. it is heavily used by 4wd early and late.
Only RV!- it‘s NOT possible if your are Selfcontained ( portable Toilet, Shower and Containers for grey & Blackwater) with a Rooftoptent to stay there.
As I am here on a weekend and there are only 3 other self contained campers here, I am wondering if local knowledge brings campers here through the week only. The area is full of 4WD's accessing the beach until wee mornings hours and then again pre dawn.
Great location. Toilets okay. Only cold showers. Good BBQs. Lots of 4WDs use this spot to get down onto the sand. Well worth staying there if you are self contained.
Great spot. Sandy parking space with lots of room for many campers. Signs say only for RV. BBQ, toilet and beach shower close by and the beach right behind the dunes. Access for 4WD onto the beach. Absolutely lovely spot!!!!!
2WD be very careful In this spot the sand is very soft and trapping at least 1 van a day! We had a converted 2WD sprinter van and it almost got stuck in the sand at the left side corner closer to the beach! A few hours later the same thing happened and a van was totally stuck!! Stay to the right side of the gate further from the beach on the harder sand or stay in the middle of the site! Otherwise it’s a great camp spot
We slept one night in a roof tent, lots of space, next to the sea with bbq toilet and shower
What a gem!!! We had a great spot, it's quiet and clean, the beach is right outside the door, the toilets are very clean and there's also a beach shower. Breakfast with parrots in the morning and dinner with kangaroos in the evening. There are parking spaces for 4WDs but also for all the others 🥰👌🏼
Clean loos, and bbq, easy access, good breeze coming off the beach. Be careful of deep sand in parking area as there was a camper stuck when we arrived- most of area is hard standing though. Flies were a nuisance but such a good location and great for watching the sunset
