Nice easy walk and nice view from the top ;)

Really good view, perfect place to see the sunset!

Steep climb to the top (my Garmin said 7500 steps and 75 flights of stairs), but the views were worth it. I liked the views here more than Mount Maunganui, and I did both climbs the same day. It’s too bad many trees on the first section have been clear cut. It probably looked even better before they were gone. Also, I wish there were signboards that explained the history of the place. If I hadn’t looked up the history on my own the summit wouldn’t be near as interesting. This link explains some of the basics: https://www. Bayofplentynz. Nice walk! There is a toilet block at the parking lot too. Beware: entrance gates close overnight

Really popular with locals. Challenging because it's uphill, but it's a well formed trail that can be done in any weather. The views were disappointing, unless you like to look at farmland and pine tree plantations.
