We paid $177 for an “ocean view” site. It was not ocean view — we were four rows back from the water with multiple RVs in front of us. The campground is extremely overcrowded. RVs, cars, and families are packed tightly together with very little space between sites. We came with our baby hoping for a relaxing day by the pool, but it was so busy there weren’t even any seats available. For the price, this felt oversold and poorly managed. I would recommend saving your money and go somewhere else.
What an amazing spot! Made a last minute booking for one night mid-week and scored the best site (S9) which was beachfront with an uninterrupted view. The facilities were immaculate, nice hot showers with great water pressure and clean toilets. The pool and spa were fantastic - on par with many upscale resorts. Absolutely worth the cost. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Easily one of the best parks we’ve stayed at. Pool was amazing and clean. Park was peaceful and the staff were so lovely
“Thank you, we think its pretty awesome here too! :-)”
$70 for ONE person, in a TENT, with NO POWER, in the middle of the off season… I thought they were playing a prank on me when they told me the price. This place is a JOKE - so many other better places around at a fraction of the cost
“Kia Ora, our rates are based on 2 people and are dynamic, this means rates rise and fall with demand, they start from $50 a night for 2 people bit will increase during busy periods. And you are right, there are cheaper places to stay but you wont find them being having 5 Stars with resort type facilities.”
We were lucky and got a beach front powered campsite for a great price (in off season). Amenities were clean. 7min hot water showers. Laundry facilities were good. Washer/dryer could be paid for via QR code which was handy as we haven’t bothered getting cash out. Had a lovely pool area and a movie playing outside for the kids in the evening. Wifi was good, able to stream a movie if needed! Overall great stay, would recommend!
“Thanks for the great review!”
229$ for a beachfront campsite and 199$ for other campsites?! Am I buying them? 😃😃 what a joke
“Kia Ora, Our rates are dynamic and start from $50 per night for two people. Prices vary depending on demand, similar to airlines or hotels. We’re a 5-Star Holiday Park with resort-style swimming pools and were proudly voted New Zealand’s Best Large Holiday Park in 2025. If the rate doesn’t fit your budget, we’d love to welcome you another time — try checking different dates for the best value.”
The campsite is great (pool, sea) if you don't need the facilities. We were there with a tent. Although we had requested a "family pitch", they initially wanted to put us in the pitch at the very front; the toilets and showers there are really horribly dirty and musty and there is no kitchen nearby. We then asked for another pitch. Everything was better here, but the kitchen was dirty here too, moldy fridge, dirty fittings.
Nice spot for travelling with an infant (pool and kids area are awesome), however kitchen and bbq area are pretty dirty for a park in that fee range.
BBQ place was not cleaned for 3 days long or longer. There are a bit of fat and dirt next BBQ. Table was also not so clean. Smokers are around kitchen. It is probably my unluck. Shower, swimming, location, beach and kind staffs are very good.
The family-friendly atmosphere at the campsite made our stay truly memorable. Fantastic family campsite experience! Impeccably clean facilities, a range of engaging activities for all ages, friendly staff, they were available to assist even on Christmas day. The natural surroundings added to the charm, making it a perfect getaway for quality family time. Highly recommend! Can't wait to return for another unforgettable adventure.
