Nice trail, partly a bit washed out. Single trail, 15km one way, 4:30 hours for fit walkers, back with Totally Tarawera Water Taxi. Ends at Hot Water Beach with swimming options.

Nice walk, took us 5 hours including some small stops. We slept at the beach and enjoyed the silence and the hot water. Don't forget to book the campground or watertaxi in advance. There is almost no cellphone reception troughout the walk and even on the carpark. If you want to shorten the walk, start at the landing (see watertaxi startpoint).

Nice walk, up and down, 4-5h, beautiful view, lovley beach, hot n cold water in mix, no drinking water, no shower, compost toilet, use watertaxi to come back for 25$, do it _ thats cool

Very beautiful walk! Highly recommended, if you are in the area. The water taxi does not go ever day though, so you'll have to call them in the morning, bevor starting :)

You can do the walk in 3-4 hours if you're a strong walker.
