It is not because seagulls steal food that they are nasty. Whose fault is it ? To men who started feeding them with food that was not suitable for them. Beautiful bay, magnificent view ??

My experience was so-so. *Lots* of gulls hanging around- We even saw a few poke holes into someone’s plastic bag and got away with an entire donut... That caused a commotion with the other gulls of course. Anyone notice how mean these birds are?! The bay was overly packed and the water seemed on the murky side. Maybe I’ve gotten too accustomed to the beautiful beaches in NZ; this one didn’t really add up in my opinion. Still an okay place for a swim and a cold shower on a hot day.

On a sunny evening, this place is a good place to chill. I swam out to the floating crate and must of sat there for at least an hour soaking in the sun, as well as the views.

The sea is a bit cloudy but still very beautiful. The bay itself is great for swimming and fishing Changing rooms and toilets are available as well as a shower outside and a drinking water dispenser, unfortunately no electricity and hot water.

Splendid beach !!! If you have a little time and it's nice ... this is the perfect place! There are two car parks to park, go to the second, most downstairs, it is closer to the beach. In the event of good weather, all families and young people meet to enjoy the small coves of fine sand and shells. The first beach is very fast. It's best to walk a little further, it's shady and very friendly especially as you will find another small cove with far fewer people. The toilets are not very clean but given the world there is and the people bringing sand and water back .. It is a bit understandable.
