Friday night with a pub right next door? Already a win. Super quiet otherwise — we practically had the place to ourselves. All the essentials covered: dump station, fresh water, rubbish, and even laundry. Facilities are old but functional. Men’s toilet is hidden around the back — a detail one confused guest repeatedly ignored, happily brushing his teeth in the women’s instead. No drama. 8/10 small-town pub combo. 🍺🚐
Felt blessed to find this gem of a place to hunker down for a few nights while forecast rain and wind came through. I hardly noticed the road noise on the other side of trees and found it a very tranquil setting with trees all around and was very sheltered. I was on a powered site for only $20 which is cheap in comparison to most places and I enjoyed an unlimited shower for $3. Owners are friendly and welcoming.
Worst paid campsite we stayed at on our trip. Way too expensive for the services offered ($20 per person, $3 per shower). We paid a total of $46 for dirty showers that hadn't been cleaned in ages and no Wi-Fi on site. Disappointing for the price.
A hidden gem! Owners are lovely and camp is nice and clean.
Awesome stopover on the way south, bit of road noise but anywhere along sh1 the same, everything you need for stop over highly recommend
Beautiful newly built campsite, very friendly reception, few people, showers are extra charged, located on the road, but that didn't bother us, the entrance is behind the tavern parking lot,
The hosts are nice and the campsite is spotless. There is a path down from the campsite where you can find fruit trees! The campsite is not far from the road but with earplugs it's ok $15 for the night and $3 more for an unlimited hot shower
Great value! $15 per person for the night. Owners were so friendly (and their dogs SO cute!) we thought bathrooms and kitchen were really clean. Owners son was the highlight - he was such a cool dude, offered to help us unpack, welcomed us and showed us where everything was, we’d come back again just to visit him!! We couldn’t believe how empty this campground was. Road was a little loud but if you’re camping you’ve got earplugs right!
Excellent value… $15 plus $3 for unlimited shower which is hot unlike some. Extremely friendly owner and very polite children. Don’t be put off from the sight being close to the road as it’s very quiet through the night. If you’re on your way back to the airport I would definitely recommend this site.
Nice campground with a very nice host and very clean facilities. Right next to the street, but the noise dies down after 8 p.m. and we had a very restful night. Would definitely recommend!
