What a impressive giant! 100% worth the walk. If you are feeling adventurous and got 2-3 hours to spare, continue on the Ngamoko track up to the peak. It's a in parts steep and difficult track but rewards you with a great view of the lake. (Not so much from the actually peak, too many trees obstructing the view, but about 30 min before is a good lookout)

Mystical after heavy rain. To make it shorter take a right hand sided route. 10min to intersection and another few to rata tree.

The track starts in the inner curve, then you get to the 30 min. loop and from there it's a 5 min. walk

It was a huge Rata tree!I was impressed!!
