Very pleasant place to stay. Awesome and friendly atmosphere, the host is a really good guy and will recommend you places to visit. Also perfect place to be lazy, you'll see when you come here, hehe. xD

Absolutely lovely couple running a beautiful campsite with an amazing garden and wildlife. We went down the wrong road (don't go left just after the entrance!) and got stuck and the owners were very kind about giving us a tow back up the hill. Would recommend to anyone.

What a dreamy place these two have created! Everything is lovingly and beautifully furnished. There's an outdoor shower, an outhouse, and plenty of nature. We spent a cozy evening there with red wine.

I was able to stay there for two weeks. Simon and Nadège are two wonderful people, and I had a great time with them and with other travellers passing through. It's one of the cheapest places in the area, and it also has a hot shower. I highly recommend it!

We only stopped for one night, but this could be a destination. Lovely hosts and amazing property, definitely down-to-earth and the most adorable dogs. Just our sort of place, thank you

Very nice place, very friendly hosts open to discussion and give good advice on the region. Very pleasant and relaxing place, a real return to nature, extra cows and labradors. Very nice shared kitchen and showers, electricity and wifi accessible. I highly recommend this return to the sources.

I spent few days at Down to Earth and it's been just one of the highlight of my travel in New Zealand. Simon, Nadège, Mitch, Molly & Milo offered me way more than a place to pinch my tent, but a delightful environnement full of plants, flowers, trees, all perfectly designed by Simon (an amazing landscape designer). We shared quality moments together, playing volleyball, hiking cape brett, campfire, and so on. They have also caravans and places for campervans on their land. Just go !

Amazing place to stay, Wifi, Hot shower, lots of places to park/rent a room. Great place to relax and recharge.

Amazing campsite, so worth it to stay. Good company, beautiful landscape and great facilities (kitchen, shower, toilets…)

Definitely stay here!!! Super friendly and welcoming hosts with good chat and banter. Had the most relaxing 2 nights here with my mom and my cat, yes a cat friendly place too!! The dogs Milo and Molly are really sweet and cuddly. Massive plus: you can book a massage too, absolutely recommend doing that. Great experience, like the name it is down to earth. Basic set up, but it gives u all u need. Thank u for having us, I'll definitely come back on my next roadtrip!!!
