Best part is from Waipu Cove to Pancakes flip flop flat easy and short unlike from Langs through private properties with steps and drops. Nicest view is from the pa at the start
Nice walk, can be challenging in parts for older legs, busy on summer days but if your in the area I would do it, the rock formations are worth it
Track starts with the small river crossing. Sturdy shoes recommended for the track. A nice easy walk to the pancake rocks. Great to climb down the stairs and out onto them. An enjoyable family walk for us today. Google maps had the start wrong.
It's a nice walk, but a lot of people. If you're near and itching for a small track it is great, but I would not go out of my way to get there :) Oscar & Lulu
If it rained before you do the walk, take your old clothes and shoes. Very muddy and slippery. You have to be comfortable with the eventually of your bum covered in mud. But very fun if you like it! The track is medium hard with parts climbing rocks or crossing streams and ladders but the view is worth it.
Is very nice. However, always the same view and not very varied. The path starts to the right of the small stream. Rock with the two little ones who are hanged in the tree
Definitely do it! The path leads along the sea and is beautiful. I had to stop every two meters to take a picture. The stones are very comfortable, made a nap there and was swimming
We did this walk in February and it was superb. We had the little beach at the end to ourselves, had our lunch and a swim and walked back.
Incorrectly drawn ... already some km more.
Super nice stones with a reddish shimmer. Climbing on the rocks is possible, too. Definitely worth it and not far away from the car park.
