The path can only be guessed at under plants and is hardly, if at all, accessible

Waterfall can be seen from road/ car park. This is not a proper DOC track, but appears to be a hunting track and ia not sign outdated with distance/ time etc. Suggest hiking boots essential as well as, agility and a dose of courage! It is very steep! The kids scrambled up the rocks like mountain goats but it was too much for me and I stopped where a wire fence needed to be crossed. Daughter said the track split and the path they took petered out. They turned back so didn't get up close. Took probably 10-15mins to get where they did and longer to get down! And it wasn't too wet or icy do could have been more dangerous
