The track is closed before the falls

Lovely walk along the crystal clear river. I crossed the stream with no problem. Water was 30 cm deep approx. Totally fine. Falls are beautiful. There must be a cave in that rock. Follow the orange arrows and get to the picnic spot with amazing view. I recommend hiking shoes.

From the Hacket car park (off Aniseed Valley Rd) you can also walk to a disused chromite mine loop (really nice ~10km) or evening venture further on for multi-day tramps in the area. The track to the waterfall has a major wash out so there is a knee-deep section of the river that you must ford. The depth of the water will depend on recent rainfall so proceed with caution

The track nice and beautiful but when we got to the open field spot, wasn’t any orange triangles that tell you where to go. So, we didn’t see the falls and was disappointed.

Exhausting way and you need 1.5 to 2 hours to the top. Hiking boots are recommended. It was worth it anyway.

Our van was broken into in this car park between Jan 8-12 while we were hiking. There were a lot of belongings stolen, inluding electronics and a luggage with personal items in it. Lovely Hike. River crossing needed and only advised in good weather conditions. When you enter the open field, it may feel like the end of the track, but continue by following the orange triangles, don’t stop too early or you miss the best. Good for family trips as well.

Recommended! Partly the way is a bit broken away but with solid shoes and a bit of caution well feasible! ?
