We found the campsite quiet. Large spaces. The facilities are fine, but need to be modernized (especially the toilet facilities). Shower must be paid. But should be included in the calculated price.

This is a lovely campsite with good clean (although basic) facilities. The pitches are spacious with plenty of room around them. Although slightly outside Nelson it is a short straightforward drive to the city center. The cost was good at 36 dollars per night for two people unpowered. However two issues which campermate reviewers hate are paying for showers and paying for wifi, both apply here. The wifi is a particular problem as there is no 4G/5G signal at the site.

A beautiful spot! We just had a lovely stay for 3 nights. Facilities were clean and well looked after. Short drive into town but feels totally remote and surrounded by bush. Brookvalley wildlife sanctuary right next door is worth a visit. Great for kids.

Stayed at this campground for two nights to do some mountain biking. The campground is awesome. It’s surrounded by native bush, wild deer wandering through, and native birds make lovely songs. The facilities are good. Mountain biking at Codgers is easily accessible where family fun grade 3’s can be found, and more pro focused grade 6’s. There is wildlife sanctuary next door. No noise issues as noted in previous reviews. Will definitely be back.

Under new management, we had a great stay! Surrounded by mountainous nature reserves, we had a few deer hanging around😁. Staff were super helpful, even walked us around some good camp spots to choose our site. Lounge, kitchen and bathrooms all clean and laundry facilities. Close to nature walks and mountain bike trails. We’d stay again.

Camped with the family for a few days to do some mountain biking. The campground is awesome. It’s surrounded by native bush. Wild deer wandering through, and had lovely native bird songs. The facilities are good. Mountain biking from Codgers is easily accessible from the campground. Lots of trail options from family fun grade 3’s to pro grade 6’s. No noise issues experienced as noted in previous reviews. The campground has been under new management since August last year.

A place to totally advise against :( in fact, it seems that the people who sleep there are almost all permanent occupants. The campsite therefore resembles a squat. The infrastructure was not bad but not worth the price. And the feeling of insecurity makes this campsite the worst I have tested in 6 weeks of travel.

A little outside of Nelson, but even more in nature. Sanitary facilities are clean and well maintained, pitches are available for all types of campsites, common areas are also well equipped, very friendly staff.

Fine place to stop. Nothing fancy and facilities are a bit dated but cheap and worth it for a night
