I thought this spot was fine, others in our group considered it not suitable for large motorhomes as the ground was not even enough and the carpark spaces too narrow between the dotted cars. We moved on unfortunately.

Great campsite, calm and peaceful. Great value - $8 per adult, can pay cash or card. Can walk along a wet foot track to a waterfall. Clean toilets, drinking water and sink to wash dishes. 20min drive to Wellington. Highly recommend.

Beautiful campsite, clean flush toilets. Drinking water, sink for washing dishes. Better to arrive early, there is not much space.

We stayed one night and the toilets were clean. There's even a sink for washing dishes and filling your water bottle. The place was very pleasant. You can barely hear the road next door.

Great lovely campground with toilets, drinking water and sink to wash dishes. Self-pay with card. Not very busy. This one is near a road but it wasn’t loud at night.

Brilliant camp site on your way to/from Wellington. Nice and quiet, clean toilets and an area to wash dishes. Perfect for what you need if in a self contained camper and a fraction of the price of other sites closer to Wellington centre. Would highly recommend!

Stayed here on Nov 14. Excellent choice. Arrived around 6:30 PM and only a few other camper vans onsite. Easy pay at the kiosk. Clean toilet plus an outdoor sink and tap. DOC employee came in the AM to clean and tidy up the toilets. Easy access to a couple of nifty treks.

gates do not stay open as it says in the description and shut at 9pm. we pitched our tent earlier knowing we would be back late and now we’re stuck outside in the rain!!

Quiet, beautiful campsite with clean restrooms (no pit toilets!). Open until 9 pm in summer and 6 pm in winter.
