Several walks up to top of hill. Very popular with hill runners and walkers of all ability. We took the 712 wooden steps uphill which took 2 hours plus the winding pathway, same route back only took 1and half hours. But it was a killer! Lol
very friendly hike that is worth to be done. There are quite a few steps and remember to really go to the top for a beautiful view also on wind turbines. Take a windbreaker. Enjoy it! The start is at the campsite Elsdon. Take the path on the left before the wooden bridge and not right by the bridge.
Beautiful view! Make sure you will continue walking after the first look out point, it looks like a farmer road but you should take it to go to the real top of the mountain and then you definitely can't finish the trip in 1 hour ;) but the view is a lot better at the real top.
Nice walkway! Did it in 25 min up / 18 min down. On the top there is an amazing viewpoint! Have fun over there ;) - Felix Tischn
Good walk and good view for a exercise :-) in walking-running pace its 35 min from carpark to summit. But normally consider more time, if your not fit.
Beautiful walk despite many steps and a lot of wind! ;)
It is possible to walk from Colonial Knob to Kelburn by joining onto the Northern Walkway, then the City to Sea walkways.
Good walk for athletes!
