A 2 hour walk on sand that I would not repeat or recommend. The view at the end is actually the same as at the beginning. Seen a few lazy seals, but you get the opportunity more often in New Zealand.
Nice walk along the sea, we unfortunately couldn't see any seals and you have to be aware that you have to let some 4WD cars pass.
Nice walk, seals are there even outside the season. Watch out for extreme winds.
We can see seals after a good hour of walking
Very nice walk along the sea. We left the freecamp where we spent a very good night safely with hot water tap in the toilet. After an hour of walking we had the chance to see seals there were everywhere very impressive and nice !!! I recommend this walk (it's good after the Fishermen's House)
Great walk. 2.5 miles takes you around the coast and gives spectacular views of the South Island. The seals are the main attraction and there were loads of them today. Approx 40 all lying on the rocks enjoying the sunshine. I highly recommend this walk.
Nice hike, but nothing spectacular. The Red Rocks are not really worth seeing, but rather the seals and the view of the coast and the sea.
Nice walk but very busy with 4x4 vehicles. We saw 1 seal only
Not worth to go there, unspectacular and first we even didn't realised that these three rocks are the attraction.
Absolutely only recommended if you have a 4WD car. It was so windy that the sand flew into our eyes. I therefore cannot recommend running. I don't know if it's always that windy. Gave up after a few minutes.
