Nice place, beautiful sunset. We stayed 1 night with our van, it was quiet busy, about 10 campervans. There are no toilets. Careful where you park, there’s a map and signs showing exactly where the parking area is :) Parking is allowed from 5pm until 9am.
Loved this place! The most amazing views! Quiet place, probably could fit 5 camper vans in the space. Perfect little stop off
Nice quiet spot for up to 3 or 4 vans. Great place to watch sunsets - would highly recommend a night here on the way to Coramandel.
Great spot with sandy beach to watch sunsets. But make sure you park in the designated Freedom Camping area otherwise you will get woken at 6.30am and receive a $400 fine from the Thames council ranger
Just stayed here for the night, got woken up at 7am from a guy who said we weren’t allowed to camp here on this side anymore and gave us a $200 infringement notice.
Great spot! Not crowded, great sunset
Excellent sunsets, 4km to Thames for supplies, 2 nights max, dogs off lead, some trees and picnic tables, total beachfront, stones beach, recommend
Don't know why the 'no toilets' is such a problem when vans that stay here should be self contained. ?? Great spot to stay if you are a bird watcher.
Fabulous little spot, bonus rubbish bins. Easy access. Just off the road but not too noisy. There is a historic cemetery walk 100 meters up the road - stair case is a good workout!Great view up the harbour Spectacular sunset
You can’t get more beachfront than this- although not a beach you’d want to spend the day at. Fabulous for an overnight stay in calm weather. Only 3 vans so plenty of space.
