Don’t come here in winter. Whole site is covered with thick snow and ice, leaving very small area available for camping. If you want to use the public toilet, you need to walk in the deep snow and get your shoes and pants wet. We stayed there 1h for our dinner and watched people come and go and get stuck in snow. Then we left and went west for the next camp ground by lake Pukaki, no snow there.

Don't try here if recently had snow. You will get stuck with chains getting out. Area not cleared for parking spots.

originally was planning on staying at the caravan park nearby, but fully booked due to a snow storm/bad weather. This place was only 10mins away and absolutely gorgeous in the snow!! Had a little trouble getting out but manageable! only downside was the stinky toilet, but is to be expected for drop toilets.

Plenty of space and 1 bathroom available. Very close to Tekapo lake so great spot to sleep close to the lake.

WOW, the stars were beautiful. Plenty of space even though there were plenty of campers already when we got there by 7:30pm. One drop toilet but we didn’t use. - Nishy and Nicky

Big space, got in around 7pm and only a couple of campervans. Little noisy in the morning as it's close to a road but otherwise fine. One toilet but we didn't use it.

Very spacious - there were easily 30 vehicles and room for more. Lots of flat space and grass, a couple of picinic tables. Pit toilet that we didn't use since we have our own. Fairly quiet if you get away from the road. Good cell coverage. Maybe 10 minutes from town, and FREE! Got pretty cold 0° last night, but typical of this time of year.

Good spot, quite a lot of spaces. Ideally park away from the road as it can get loud. There is a toilet but we didn’t use it so can’t comment. Service too which is good
