Very large space, but few options of flat location, very beautiful view!
Very nice place. I stayed one night, arriving around 8:30 pm. It has restrooms, but no running water. The internet signal is weak.
Camping ok but people came in 4x4 white with big lights throwing a beer bottle on one of the 20-25 vans present. Very strange and can reassure. Clean nickel toilets! bad phone signal!
It was the best space we have ever visited. The view was absolutely stunning and the atmosphere at sunrise and sunset was incredible. It is directly located next to the lake and as a family this was a wonderful experience.
The views are like nothing else. Waking up here is surreal.
By far the most beautiful free campsite we've ever stayed at! Breathtaking views Clean toilets Huge space for countless campers.
Stayed here in early August… and was a beautiful spot to spend 2 nights, with only a few other vans. Beautiful views across lake to Mount Cook, and great for sunsets and sunrises Quiet, but cold (-5deg). Four clean long drop toilets. Highly recommend. Had phone signal.
Couldn’t recommend more! Fantastic views of the lake as well as Mt Cook. Be sure to arrive ahead of time to get a prime spot. Drop toilets close nearby.
Good campsite, great views and pretty quiet. Wish we got here a little earlier to get a better spot but there was heaps of space. Might want to try get there before 4pm to ensure a flat spot with a view. Drop toilets near by. Would recommend.
Stayed here for one night on the way to Queenstown from Auckland to break the trip up. It was pretty busy by the morning but we felt safe the whole night. Only downside is if you don’t get there early you may have to park on an uneven surface. Phone signal is ok in some spots. Beautiful views
