THE BEST CAMPSITE IN THE NORTH. Plenty of space, the beach nearby, far from town... The very best.
Very nice location facing the beach. The area is quiet. It's best to arrive during the day to avoid getting lost on the road, as there are potholes. No shower, no drinking water, and you have to walk to the toilets, which are a bit further, but honestly, I've never seen such disgusting toilets... impossible for me to use them.
A M A Z I N G! Best campsite in the north island
Beautiful location, friendly locals but, PLEASE do not go far into the campsite if you don’t have 4WD!!! We got stuck and got out only thanks to the helpful locals who towed us out!!
Beautiful! One of my favorite place to stay the vibe was so chill with nice locals and a pretty beach next to it. Don't be affraid of the gravel road it is not too long and worth it.
Amazing spot, in the nature. There is no sign saying that you can’t stay longer then 24 hours. We stayed a few nights without any trouble. Toilets are closed and disgusting. Probably because they are quite a walk, I guess people couldn’t hold it in anymore and went anyways. But there is no water available. There are portaloos available further down.
Great spot. Went in April. Toilets aren’t the best and a little bit of a walk. However, your right on the beach.
Awesome place to stay, right by the beach. If there are a lot of campers it may be hard to find a level spot - it's quite hilly.
The area can host countless campervan! Main toilets were closed with no water but there were two port-a-potties by the main entrance to the beach which is like a 7 minute walk from the camp. Sunrise was amazing and the night sky was pretty wonderful aswell. Just beware of the last section of road and the camp itself: the path is pretty wild and you could get stuck on the sand. Apart from its cons it's absolutely a must stay.
Really amazing place. There is really a lot of area to camp. The gps makes it to the camp area in front of the Coca Cola Lake, but if you continue on the "path" you fall close to the beach. The toilets are rather far away (but very clean) from this area, but there must be another access further away, as there were campers right in front. The sunrise is beautiful there.
