Pretty cramped site when full. Seems to be a fishermans haven.lotsof dogs, including some really happy ones next to us. Overall basic facilities. Our stay was fine, but wouldn't go back.
Great for families.
Camping was cool. Clean toilets and showers. Just in front of the beach. A bit noisy in the early morning because they were putting many motor boats in the water. WiFi is not free and was quite expensive. Bad phone signal in that area.
Fabulous view of the bay. Great walk from the site. Facilities are very good and clean. Not much else to do except enjoy the bay. A nice place to stay.
Had a great stay! Right at the beach, the kids (3 and 4) loved it, also the playground. Didn’t had many other campers so it was super quiet. Shower machine ($1 coin operating) was indeed taking many coins before it worked but that was easily solved by the (very friendly) camp owners. Great views and walks starting from the camp ground. Nice little kitchen (bring your own utensils).
alot of unhappy campers , maybe needs new owners , & refurbish , alot of dogs off leads & dog shit
Too bad. It could be good. The view is great and there are beautiful hiking trails here. You pay $78 as a family for a spot and then you have to pay $1 for a 5-minute shower. One machine is broken and only takes the money, the other shower works but the drain pipe is open and dangerous, especially with children. We have visited many campsites and this is the worst one we have paid for. Sorry, maybe the owners will do something. Have a good trip everyone.
After 3 weeks camping in New Zealand this is by far the worst campsite. Don’t go there.
$30 per adult just to get a small square bit of grass right next to neighbours each side of you. The pitch you get isn’t even flat. You have to pay for showers even at $30 per person. 6.30am and all the fisherman start driving tractors around the campsite to take the boats out so there’s no nice relaxing sleep in here. Lovely location but very very overpriced. Not worth $30 per adult! Too cramped, too noisy, and run down. Male owner is also rude. Much better campsites elsewhere
Beautiful sunset, people are friendly and the owners are very helpful and welcoming. Loved my stay here!
