Beautiful spot overlooking the dry salt lake in December. Toilets are okay and the cold showers are working. There are some shady areas; if it's windy, parking your car against the toilet entrance will protect you for a better night's sleep.
Toilets. Cold shower (not enclosed). Bins. Limited shade. Felt safe. 2wd accessible. Good nature vibes. No water in early December. This place would've gone off when full. Windy on account of the salt flats -BB
Tons of flies and the toilets were out of service I‘ve never seen so many flies in my life
Great free spot located 2km off the highway down a dirt road, we managed in a campervan absolutely fine. Fire spots when permitted, rubbish bins, clean toilets with no paper & free cold showers. Lake wasn’t in during March but great free spot and would stay again. You can see a road in the distance and train but no noise issues. Be cautious of mosquitoes around March time but amazing free spot & dog friendly! :)
Excellent location, away from the road so traffic noise is not a nuisance, only the train passes in the distance and you can hear it a little. The bathrooms are well maintained, the shower is cold, so with low temperatures it is a little cold but it is hygiene anyway. Super recommended.
Fantastic stay
Very lovely remote place for a night. The cold shower was good and the stars at night amazing! We came with a 2WD and had no issue finding the spot.
A great spot!! Pleasantly surprised. Nice spots to park up on the sand right next to the lake. Toilets are pretty grubby but actual toilet seats are fine. Beautiful sunset
Amazing spot!! The lake is beautiful and there are flash toilets and cold showers. A few built shaded spots or plenty of shades under the trees A must to stop here
Great spot just take care after rain dirt road at lake area slippery, Rvs drive slow on entry road corrugations But worth it . Great views very little mozzies around at night
