NOT SUITABLE FOR 2WD. Drove down and almost got stuck. Can the original poster remove this from the page please 💜

Beautiful site, but that it’s 2WD accessible is definitely relative. We have a 2WD campervan and got stuck on the way back out, and had to ask another 4WD to tow us out. Very soft sand on the way to the parking. Beautiful place to sleep and park though, the beach is absolutely amazing! Just do not go with a 2WD haha

This was the most beautiful campsite we’ve stayed at in a long time. After a gravel road, the track becomes more sandy. Depending on the weather, the sand can be very soft, and there are sections that are not really suitable for 2WD vehicles. Around the campsite, there are several pitches tucked away between the trees, which are great on windy days, but you can also camp directly on the beach. Alternatively, you can take one of the many small side tracks and drive out to a little bay.

Not recommended with 2WD 🙈 especially not when it was raining. Very soft and some fords. We turned around.

We tried getting there with our 2wd Campervan in the dark and it turns out it is maybe possible to get there when it’s light and dry but I wouldn’t recommend trying it with a 2wd if you have a chance to stay somewhere else.

Went there, it was full. Had to turn van around at end.. Long story short, half the track is very soft sand, don’t try this without recovery gear?

Magnificent spot! We pulled in late, 5pm, only 2 other groups there, heaps of hidden spots left, some tight and some wide. All surrounded by paper bark trees. 10m from the beach! No toilets, but some toilet paper left around carelessly. Kids loved Rocky point, waves not rough or massive surf. 4WD needed for beach driving, but dirt roads in were part graded and corrugations not too awful. Great families of kids and like-minded humans! We’d go back in a heart beat!

Hey guys you definitely can make it with your vans, just drive slow in the way, and there is plenty camp spots befor the beach where you can park easily

The road fit for 2wd, just drive slow. The camp site a bit sandy, there is a better part of the camp on the of the right side of the road before the camp sign. We did it with our van and it was ok.

Awesome little secluded campground with beautiful scenery. I'd recommend to bring own fire wood due to hassle to find enough for a propper evening. The ride is 2wd doable until the end, then there's a few deeper holes to get through, still doable by 2wd tho
