One of the nicest free camps Iβve stayed in New Zealand. Really nice beside river, was quiet when we stayed here. Toilets were clean.
Great secluded campsite, plenty of pitches, not crowded. Right by a river. Very pleasant. Toilets on site not tested. Closed from April 1st.
A spacious, comfortable campsite with plenty of trees, composting toilet, dishwashing facilities, tables, and a barbecue. There's also a small stream. Internet signal is weak.
Quiet, near a river unfortunately without trutes but with angels, nice, easy to reach, with so much space, baths to fall, dishwasher for dishes, everything you can servive in a campsite, you can sleep even in a tent, there is a sign at the entrance with writing that from April 1 to October 31 MUST be closed for winter, if you are on the go and there is a nice day I recommend you to make a deviation to check, little almost no phone service inside
One of the best places we stayed in our 3 weeks. Calm, cleaned toilets, even a washing table with fluent water and not too crowded. Sometimes you have mobile reception.
Got there around 4 pm and there were plenty of spaces open to choose from. Felt safe and the area was quiet. Would stay here again if we had to! Phone signal was a little spotty.
Not crowded at all! Lovely place to stay by a flowing stream with toilets and bbq.
We arrived around 4:45 PM and it was incredibly crowded. We tried to set up camp next to a tent with a Rottweiler, but the woman gestured for us to leave because of the dog (under the pretext of having her dog, she was literally monopolizing three large campsites: one for her tent and the two surrounding it). Then there were lots of people who looked like they'd been there for weeks or months and were staring at us intently. Feeling uncomfortable, we left.
Great site, lots of spots to park. Right by a river, lots of trees to stay out of the sun if you want. Drop toilets are pretty clean. Has a bbq and a sink with water. Unsure if the water is potable or not. Very limited phone service
Large, open campsite. Good facilities, including a drop toilet, sink and bbq. No potable water and very little phone signal.
