Nice spot to freedom camp for the night with beautiful lake/ mountain views. Close to highway but still quiet. We were the only ones here and had to double check that there weren’t any ‘No camping’ signs. 1 x long drop, but no loo paper.

Absolutely a calm and quite place to spend a night in your car/campervan. Easy to reach, just near the highway. Clean and nice place.

We stayed here on our way from Christchurch to greymouth after leaving Christchurch fairly late at night. It was a really nice place to wake up to and fairly quiet considering its not far from the highway.

We stayed here a few years ago on our big south island trip. Very peaceful and a couple of fishermen gave us a trout in exchange for a hot cuppa with a wee dram. Well recommended
