Very nice trail?
Really worth the hike. I might have lost my hiking boots on the carpark. Brown, flat, male, size 44. Could someone please check if they lay around. Cheers my hero.
Nice hike to Emely falls, we managed to keep our feet dry the whole way in just trainers, until we got to the falls of course then went for a dip ? a few places were a bit steep and muddy but most of it was easy. The waterfall itself was pretty but nothing too magnificent, would like to try some of the longer routes in this area after this good taster ⛰
Did the Emely Falls track - took 1:15 including 10 mins at the falls (I am solo and faster). The track is undulating and requires a shallow stream walk. I recommend other wearing shoes you don'tind getting wet, or leaving your shoes at the stream and going to rest barefoot (only if you don't have princess feet!). The falls themselves were... Eh... A typical single spout fall - but the location is nice in the rock alcove and makes for a great photo with depth. Falls: 4/10, Location: 8/10, Overall: 6/10. Not worth coming out here just for the falls, but definitely worth seeing if in the area.
If anyone ever found the rata fall, I'm very impressed. I travelled long with the water, but at I point I just gave up. The Emely fall is also hard to go to because you have to walk over the creek for a bit. Maybe it was because of the rain, but crossing that creek was difficult, and the waterfall at the end is not rewarding enough. TLDR: avoid rata fall, Emely fall is ok
Rata fall: a short course of the fighter that is not worth it. You will be disappointed arrived at the fall.
First part of the track (to the creek) is well maintained. You will have to cross the creek to get to the rest of the track - follow the orange triangles downstream. The second half is a bit steeper and narrower!! I would recommend it for young children; there are shorter/easier tracks to better waterfalls available. Definitely felt like I achieved something by making it there and back! Timing (90min) is accurate.
The walk to the waterfalls (Rata and Emely) was definitely not easy! Very muddy and steep.
Harder than I thought, u get quite dirty and have to walk through a river. I tried to jump from stone to stone but in the end I also had wet feet. The fall was ok, but I've seen much better ones.
A really nice trail, but should not be underestimated. We were after heavy rains traveling there and therefore the Bach led a little more water than usual. We were there with two children (3 and 5). For the five-year olds, it was a real adventure and strenuous, but hardly alone feasible for Small. Has a total lasted much longer, but fun.
